少林五形柔术武术 套路。少林拳术之一。“五形”为模拟蛇、虎、龙、鹤、豹五种动物的形象、属性、本能,“柔术”为以缓慢柔和的动作进行练体养气的方法,故称五形柔术。演练此拳以气功为上乘,而气功之说有:日养气、日练气、养气而后气不动,气不动而后神清,神清而后则进退得宜。

柔术之功用在内主于强体,在外以气催力克敌制胜。故养气,练气最为关键。养气,练气同出一气一派,但养气以道为归;练气以呼吸为功,外五形动,与气运配合,相辅相承。此拳的风格特点是以柔而刚为主、以刚而柔为妙,遇敌则相机而动,刚柔相济,虚实并进。

Shaolin Five-Image Jiujitsu, martial arts routine, is one kind of Shaolin Boxing. “Five-Image” refers to the imitation of the image, nature as well as instinct of snake, tiger, dragon, crane and leopard. “Jujitsu” is a way of practicing by slow and gentle movements. That is the reason why it is called Five-Image Jiujitsu. The best way of practicing this kind of martial art is Qigong (a system of deep breathing exercises). Basic doctrines of Qigong are: Keep and practice your breath everyday; then the breath becomes calm, after that the spirit becomes purified, when the spirit becomes purified, you can move forward and backward freely.

Jiujitsu was used for inside body building, as well as defeating the enemy by generating force outside of the body. Therefore, keeping and practicing breath is most important. Keeping and practicing breath is from the same school, but keeping breath end in Taoism; Breath practice is based on taking breath, the Five-Image Boxing should coordinate with the breath and complement each other. The characteristics of this style of boxing are: move as the situation changes when confronting with the enemy, alternate softness with hardness, and move forward.
